So I was thinking today - would I be happy with the way I have lived my life if I was to die today or have some other drastic thing happen to me? My fast answer was yes. When I started to think more about it though I came to the conclusion that no, I wouldn't be happy. Allow me to explain, no matter how successful a person's life, namely my own, (wow sorry that sounded snooty) there will always be something that didn't go right or a choice that should and could have been made with more maturity. With me however, it would be more along the lines of words or thoughts I wish I could take back.
I think it is also important to realize that while we cannot change the past, it is vital that we learn from it and make an effort, with the supernatural help from Jesus, to change and improve our actions in the future.
